Over the past couple of years we have had the pleasure of working on this stunning property.
This project was broken up into 2 stages, the first involving the creation of a new dining room, kitchen and alfresco space. The alfresco space is the only extension of the existing building that we have undertaken, all other works have been under the existing roof line where we have moved rooms around, knocked out sections of walls and added new windows.
The brief for both stages was simple. Make the house more practical and usable without affecting its original character.
The results speak for themselves.
All materials that were removed as part of the demolition stages were meticulously sorted and reinstalled where required to ensure authenticity and to retain the wear and character only a decade of use can provide.
The second stage involved the construction of a pergola, rendered brick entrance steps, a decking area over an existing well, two new bathrooms, a mud room and a much needed laundry space.
The spaces include marble tiles, custom cabinetry, pressed metal wall linings and all the mouldings and trims you would expect from a home of this era.
We pride ourselves on working with our clients to bring their vision to life, and specialise in bespoke details and custom finishes as seen in this project.
Whether it be a renovation of an original period style home, or the re-creation of one as a new build, Brad McCormack Homes should be your first choice when considering a builder of this style of home.
